If you also want a Twitter blue badge on your Twitter account, then this post is for you folks. Twitter has reportedly restarted the process of profile verification. It has initiated the process of accepting user requests for their profile verification for the blue badge on the profile. The process was initiated on May 20 initially but within a week, they stopped taking requests and halted the process for some time so that they can start verification of profiles of those requests that have been received. But they paused on a promise stating that they will resume services soon.

So while keeping the promise, the popular microblogging website Twitter is now up to take requests.

Why the service was stopped, the reasons are still not clear and no official statement has been received till now on it.

In case you don’t know, the process of taking requests for profile verification has been started after a 4 years halt.

How Twitter verification will proceed?

Last month as stated, Twitter started accepting user requests and applications for blue badge approval. Well, it is not firm that exactly when and how the proceedings will go further. But one thing Twitter is assuring its users that – It may take from “few days to some weeks”.  After the popular microblogging website will be ensured about your profile and after completion of the verification process, a blue badge will start appearing on the profile automatically.

In case, you didn’t get a response as you wanted, then you can look up its Help window (desk)  for reapplying after 30 days of Twitter’s take on your application.

Who can send requests for a Twitter blue badge?

Well, right now, the verification window is restricted to only users belonging to 6 categories like government, companies, brands and organizations, Journalists, News organizations, entertainment, sports and gaming activists, organizers, and influential people who are affecting society on various parameters.  But many new categories can be introduced any time soon.

How can you apply for a Twitter blue badge?

Now the application verification initiated, so if belong to any verified category as listed above then you can follow the steps given below here –

  • Go to the Settings and Privacy tab.
  • Tap on the Account option.
  • Then hit on Verification request on the Twitter app.

If you are accessing the Twitter website, then you can follow the steps given below –

  • Go to settings.
  • Then tap on the Your Account option.
  • Then pick “account information”.
  • Now click on “Request verification”.
