CHATHAM — The Chatham Public Library announces December Programs for everyone. The Chatham Public Library will open at noon Dec. 8 to allow for a staff training that morning. The Chatham Public Library will be closed Dec. 23 through Dec. 26 for the winter holiday break. The Canaan Library will be closed on Dec. 23.

Columbia County Libraries Local History Series on Zoom presents Lindenwald’s Amazing Historically Accurate Wallpaper at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren’s historic home, is awash in amazing historically accurate wallpaper. Martin Van Buren National Historic Site Museum Specialist Mike Wasko will provide a look at how the park reproduced wallpaper using historical evidence, the reproduction of the wallpaper, and the result of the rooms being returned to original state. Cookbook Club – Potluck and Book Discussion 6 p.m. Dec. 12.
