New Lebanon Book Group meets at 11 a.m. Dec. 4. The New Lebanon Book Group meets the first Sunday of each month at 11 a.m. at the New Lebanon Library unless otherwise noted. Curious readers, visitors, and drop-ins are always welcome. We follow a no fragrance policy for the safety of some of our members. Copies of the book are available by request at local libraries. History Webinar at 6 p.m. Dec. 12. “Lindenwald’s Amazing Historically Accurate Wallpaper.” Lindenwald, Martin Van Buren’s historic home, is awash in amazing historically accurate wallpaper. Martin Van Buren National Historic Site Museum Specialist Mike Wasko will provide a look at how the park reproduced wallpaper using historical evidence, the reproduction of the wallpaper, and the result of the rooms being returned to original state. Block Party: Brick Building Club 4:30-5:30 p.m. Dec. 6. Do you love to build with Legos? If you are between the ages of 5 and 12, we’re hosting a Block Party just for you. We will provide the Legos, so you only need to bring your imagination. After each build, you’ll have a chance to check out each other’s creations and we’ll display your work in the library for all to see.
Small Wonders Storytime 10:30 a.m. every Wednesday. For toddlers up to 35 months of age. Enjoy a briefer Storytime (20-30 minutes) for our youngest patrons and their caregivers, featuring songs, movement activities and age-appropriate stories.
Preschool Storytime 11 a.m. every Wednesday. For ages 3-6 years. This Storytime is a bit longer for older children (30-45 minutes) and includes more stories, movement activities, and songs, followed by a craft activity.
Crafternoon Kids 4:30 p.m. Dec. 14. It’s craft time for kids, and this month we are making Pom Pom Gnomes. All materials provided; for ages 5 years and older.
Make It & Take It: Crafts Meetup for Adults 6:30 p.m. Dec. 15. Join this crafty group for good company and a fun project. This month, Jeanne will teach us how to make needle-felted holiday trees. Graham Cracker Gingerbread Houses at 1 p.m. Dec. 17. We’re turning graham crackers into festive (and edible!) holiday gingerbread houses. All materials provided; for ages 5 years to teens.
