ECHO Lacombe Association is excited to announce one-time funding support for the new BGC Lacombe locations at both Lacombe Elementary and Terrace Ridge School.
“Our board is always on the lookout for projects and programs that provide a unique benefit to our community,” said ECHO Lacombe Association President Jared Reich.
“BGC Lacombe is filling a great need in our community by offering valuable programs and services for children, youth, and families who reside in Lacombe.”
Beth Reitz, executive director for BGC Lacombe, couldn’t agree more with that sentiment.
“Our major focus is to provide innovative childcare options to families,” said Reitz.
“Due to our well-established relationship with Wolf Creek Public Schools, we were able to approach the individual schools for available space and program suitability at their respective locations.”
Reich is delighted with the momentum Echo Energy continues to generate.
“We have had great success with the launch of the Echo Food Rescue,” said Reich.
“That program is successfully diverting significant amounts of edible food from the landfill and placing it into the hands of supporters who do not want to see that resource go to waste.”
Along with supporting BGC programming, Echo Lacombe Association has also funded other great community projects like the Lacombe & District Historical Society’s Learning Garden, the World’s Largest Fishing Lure, EcoVision’s Roofs 4 Kids, and the Echo Stage, the host venue for the popular Music in the Park series.
It also sponsors local events like the ever-popular Light Up the Night festival.
The ECHO Lacombe Association includes representatives from the City of Lacombe, Burman University, the Lacombe and District Chamber of Commerce, and an additional six members from the community at large.
The group seeks to improve Lacombe’s quality of life by fostering a collaborative environment focused on cultivating innovation, nurturing a business-friendly culture, promoting sustainable growth, and creating a safe, inclusive, vibrant, and healthy community.
